There will be a controlled scrimmage between the Harlan County Black Bears and the Corbin Red Hounds on Thursday, August 19, at 6:30 p.m. at the Charles “Big Man” Davis Stadium, located by James A. Cawood Elementary School. The scrimmage is open to the public. Admission is $2 per person. Proceeds will benefit the HCHS Football Boosters program.

School Districts may now pursue to revoke driver’s license for deficient scores/attendance
The General Assembly amended KRS 159.051 and KRS 186.470, giving districts the option to pursue revocation of the driver’s license for students who are academically deficient, drop out of school or accumulate nine (9) or more unexcused absences in the preceding semester. parental consent to release information as part of the revocation process will be obtained as part of the process of applying for a license.
